About the Role

The Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Financial Analyst & Business Performance Specialist to join our dynamic team in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. This crucial role involves providing in-depth financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting for the IsDB Institute’s activities and new business ventures. You will be instrumental in identifying and driving performance improvements across the Institute, contributing significantly to its financial health and strategic objectives. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned financial professional to make a substantial impact within a leading international financial institution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct timely and accurate reconciliations of financial transactions, promptly identifying and resolving any conflicts.
  • Propose and implement enhancements to business processes and effective internal controls to optimize financial operations.
  • Support the processing of Institute payments to vendors, suppliers, consultants, and service providers, maintaining meticulous accounts.
  • Liaise with all partners, donors, and sponsors to ensure accurate records of contributions and provide periodic reporting.
  • Monitor activity progress by tracking key metrics, resolving issues, generating progress reports, and recommending strategic actions.
  • Prepare comprehensive regular financial and business reports for management review.
  • Submit periodic Financial Reports detailing the status of revenues, funds raised, earnings, and expenses.
  • Deliver expert financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting on the Institute’s activities and emerging business opportunities.
  • Identify and capitalize on opportunities for performance enhancement throughout the Institute.
  • Develop sophisticated financial models to support informed decision-making.
  • Create clear, actionable, and repeatable reports that illuminate key business trends and areas for improvement.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Proven experience in financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting, preferably within a large organizational structure.
  • Strong understanding of financial reconciliation, business process improvement, and internal controls.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate with diverse stakeholders, including partners, donors, and sponsors.
  • Experience in developing financial models and creating insightful business reports.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Proficiency in financial software and reporting tools.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
