Senior Electrical Design Engineer – Abu Dhabi | GHD

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join our thriving team in Abu Dhabi. This role is pivotal in leading the electrical design aspects of diverse infrastructure, buildings, and transport projects, ensuring technical excellence and compliance with all relevant standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Spearhead the electrical design for complex systems, encompassing lighting, power distribution, fire alarms, earthing, and lightning protection.
• Develop comprehensive electrical drawings, schematics, and layouts utilizing AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks.
• Perform critical electrical calculations, including load analysis, short-circuit analysis, voltage drop, and cable sizing.
• Guarantee adherence to DEWA, ADDC, UAE Fire Code, and other pertinent authority requirements.
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to achieve seamless integration of electrical systems.
• Mentor and supervise junior engineers, upholding delivery standards and established procedures.
• Offer technical leadership and adeptly resolve design challenges by applying industry best practices.
• Cultivate strong client relationships to foster repeat business through exceptional service and project delivery.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in electrical design, with a preference for experience within the UAE.
• Demonstrated proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, and specialized electrical design software.
• A robust understanding of electrical engineering principles and practices.
