Lab Technician & Science Support Specialist Responsibilities

• Sets up equipment, chemicals, and supplies for chemistry, physics, and biology labs at the junior and senior levels, following teacher guidance.
• Prepares molar solutions of acids by accurately diluting concentrated solutions and calculating relative volumes of concentrated acid and water.
• Calculates the required mass and prepares standard solutions of salts and bases.
• Ensures a safe working environment by strictly complying with regulations for handling hazardous materials.
• Follows waste regulations and proper procedures for the safe disposal of chemicals.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Proven experience as a Lab Technician or Science Support role.
• Strong understanding of laboratory safety protocols and hazardous material handling.
• Proficiency in preparing chemical solutions and performing calculations related to concentrations and volumes.
• Ability to meticulously follow instructions and maintain accurate records.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
