About the Opportunity

DEOW INTERNATIONAL is seeking a highly strategic and accomplished Senior Supply Chain Manager to spearhead comprehensive supply chain operations for a dynamic retail enterprise specializing in both food (FMCG & fresh) and non-food essential products. This pivotal role, based in Abu Dhabi, is critical for guaranteeing consistent product availability across a network of retail outlets, meticulously optimizing inventory, fostering robust supplier partnerships, and driving unparalleled efficiency in logistics and distribution. As a seasoned procurement specialist and logistics coordinator, you will be instrumental in shaping the future of our supply chain.

Key Responsibilities

  • Formulate and execute supply chain strategies that perfectly align with overarching retail business objectives.
  • Guarantee superior on-shelf product availability across the entire spectrum of store locations.
  • Engage in close collaboration with merchandising and category management teams to facilitate precise demand planning.
  • Spearhead all procurement activities, including rigorous negotiation of pricing, contracts, and comprehensive supplier agreements.
  • Provide oversight for inventory management, sophisticated forecasting, and proactive replenishment planning.
  • Aggressively minimize stock-outs, instances of overstocking, and wastage, with a particular focus on perishable goods.
  • Directly manage warehouse and distribution center operations to ensure peak performance.
  • Ensure the punctual and cost-effective delivery of goods to all retail outlets.
  • Cultivate and maintain exceptionally strong relationships with both local and international suppliers.
  • Diligently monitor supplier performance, lead times, and adherence to service level agreements.
  • Ensure strict compliance with all relevant UAE food safety and retail regulations.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • A minimum of 8 years of proven experience in Supply Chain management.
  • A minimum of 8 years of direct experience with Food and Non-Food essentials within a retail context.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and implementing effective supply chain strategies.
  • Expertise in inventory management, demand planning, and logistics optimization.
  • Strong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.
  • Familiarity with UAE retail regulations and food safety standards.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
