We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our dynamic team in Dubai. This role is pivotal in developing and optimizing real-time, performance-critical systems that power our advanced traffic detection and smart mobility solutions. You will be instrumental in shaping the future of mobility by building and enhancing software that operates seamlessly across both edge devices and cloud environments, with a significant emphasis on low-latency processing, system performance, and robust hardware integration. This position offers a unique opportunity to own and contribute to critical system components from conception through to production, ensuring exceptional performance, reliability, and observability.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain production-grade software systems for both edge and cloud environments, prioritizing performance, reliability, and low latency.
- Construct and optimize real-time data processing and inference pipelines, effectively integrating machine learning models into production systems.
- Implement new features and enhancements while adhering to established system architecture and design guidelines.
- Conduct in-depth profiling, optimization, and debugging of system behavior across CPU, memory, I/O, networking, and distributed systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues within live production environments, ensuring the integrity of safety-critical infrastructure.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and deliver robust software solutions.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and best practices.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Software Engineer with a focus on real-time, embedded, or edge computing systems.
- Strong proficiency in programming languages relevant to systems development (e.g., C++, Python, Go).
- Experience with performance optimization, profiling, and debugging in complex systems.
- Familiarity with deploying and managing applications on edge devices and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Understanding of networking protocols and distributed systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
