Key Responsibilities of a Financial Planning & Analysis Specialist

• Lead the comprehensive consolidation and in-depth analysis of weekly/bi-weekly sales and P&L forecasts, as well as the quarterly rolling forecast, encompassing Income Statements, Balance Sheets, and currency exchange risks/opportunities.
• Conduct critical analysis of performance drivers, including price, volume, mix, and cost, clearly articulating variances against plan, forecast, and prior year.
• Proactively identify and communicate implications of financial performance to inform business decisions and strategic planning.
• Support and orchestrate FP&A reporting activities during the monthly financial close, ensuring timely, accurate, and consistent reporting of actuals in adherence to corporate standards.
• Perform rigorous analytical reviews and validation of financial results, explaining key variances versus forecast/budget and prior periods.
• Ensure clear and concise communication of financial close outcomes and their implications to regional stakeholders.
• Coordinate the quarterly rolling forecast process, consolidating inputs from various affiliates, challenging underlying assumptions, and ensuring alignment with regional targets and corporate guidance.
• Deliver a coherent and high-quality financial outlook to senior management, ensuring consistency across markets and transparency of risks and opportunities.

Qualifications for a Commercial Finance Manager

• Proven experience as a Senior Financial Analyst or in a similar FP&A role, preferably within the pharmaceutical industry.
• Strong understanding of financial planning, forecasting, and reporting methodologies.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and translate it into actionable insights.
• Proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis tools.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively partner with cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
