Sunsol Cafeteria, located in the vibrant Business Bay area of Dubai, is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Commis Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation and cooking of food items according to Sunsol Cafeteria’s established standards.
  • Support the preparation of both hot kitchen dishes and basic pastries/desserts.
  • Accurately follow recipes and explicit instructions provided by the Head Chef.
  • Perform essential prep work, ensuring all ingredients are ready for daily operations.
  • Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and organization within the kitchen and of all equipment.
  • Assist in the plating process, ensuring all dishes are presented appealingly and are ready for service.
  • Provide support to the Head Chef during peak service periods.
  • Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting any low stock to management.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Possess 1-3 years of relevant kitchen experience; junior candidates eager to learn are also encouraged to apply.
  • Demonstrate the ability to prepare a range of dishes, including hot kitchen items and basic pastries/desserts.
  • Exhibit a foundational understanding of various cooking techniques and baking principles.
  • Proven ability to meticulously follow recipes and instructions.
  • Capability to perform effectively in a high-volume, fast-paced kitchen setting.
  • Exhibit responsibility, punctuality, and a strong capacity for teamwork.
  • Possess a working knowledge of kitchen hygiene and food safety regulations.
