About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Finance Manager to join our team in Algeria. The successful candidate will oversee all financial operations, drive strategic planning, and ensure the company's financial health and compliance with local and international standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the preparation of financial statements, budgets, and forecasts in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
  • Manage day-to-day financial operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger management.
  • Develop and implement internal financial controls and procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure accuracy of financial reporting.
  • Conduct financial analysis and provide strategic recommendations to senior management to support business growth and profitability.
  • Oversee cash flow management, banking relationships, and treasury operations.
  • Ensure full compliance with Algerian tax regulations, statutory requirements, and reporting obligations.
  • Coordinate and manage external audits, liaising with auditors and regulatory bodies as required.
  • Supervise and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
  • Prepare management reports, variance analyses, and KPI dashboards for executive leadership.
  • Evaluate and implement financial systems and tools to improve efficiency and data accuracy.
  • Support mergers, acquisitions, and investment decisions through detailed financial modeling and due diligence.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional certification (CPA, CMA, ACCA, or equivalent) is strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting, with at least 3 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of Algerian financial regulations, tax laws, and accounting standards (IAS/IFRS).
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong leadership skills with a proven track record of managing and developing high-performing teams.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Fluency in French and Arabic is required. Proficiency in English is a strong advantage.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience working within multinational corporations or large-scale organizations in Algeria.
  • Familiarity with international financial reporting standards and cross-border financial operations.
  • Experience in process optimization and digital transformation within finance functions.
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to align financial strategy with overall organizational objectives.
