Role Summary

We are seeking a motivated Alternant Data Engineer to join our team in an apprenticeship capacity, based in Fontenay-sous-Bois, Île-de-France. This role offers a unique opportunity to develop hands-on technical skills in Data Engineering within an innovative industrial environment. The ideal candidate will work alongside experienced professionals, contributing to real-world Big Data projects while pursuing their academic studies.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines for industrial data processing
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Work with Big Data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, and cloud-based data platforms
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across all data systems
• Develop and optimize ETL processes for efficient data ingestion and transformation
• Support the implementation of data models and database architectures suited for industrial environments
• Monitor and troubleshoot data workflows to ensure reliable and timely data delivery
• Document technical processes, data flows, and system architectures
• Participate in agile development cycles and team stand-ups
• Stay current with emerging Data Engineering tools, frameworks, and best practices

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bac+3 to Bac+5 program (Bachelor's or Master's degree) in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field
• Strong foundation in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala
• Familiarity with SQL and relational database management systems
• Basic understanding of Big Data ecosystems (Hadoop, Spark, Kafka) is a plus
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is an advantage
• Interest in industrial data environments and manufacturing or production data systems
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting
• Excellent communication skills in French; English proficiency is a plus
