Coiled Tubing Operator Assistant I - Algeria Oil & Gas

An established energy sector operator in Algeria seeks a Coiled Tubing Operator Assistant I to support well intervention operations across North African fields. This role involves hands-on assistance with coiled tubing unit deployment, pressure control equipment handling, and downhole tool preparation under senior operator supervision. The position demands strict adherence to HSE protocols, API standards, and client-specific procedures during live well operations. Candidates will join a rotational crew structure offering exposure to nitrogen pumping, milling, and fishing applications.

• Assist with rig-up and rig-down of coiled tubing units, including injector head, control cabin, and power pack connections
• Monitor and record real-time pressure, rate, and depth data during circulation and pumping operations
• Prepare and inspect downhole tools — motors, jars, nozzles, and bottomhole assemblies — per job specifications
• Operate and maintain nitrogen pumping equipment, blenders, and chemical additive systems during stimulation jobs
• Execute pressure testing of surface lines, BOPs, and wellhead connections before and during interventions
• Support milling, cleanout, and fishing runs by handling tool strings and managing spool operations
• Conduct daily equipment inspections, lubrication, and preventive maintenance on reel, gooseneck, and guide arch
• Document shift activities, safety observations, and equipment anomalies in digital field reporting systems

• Minimum 2 years field experience in coiled tubing, wireline, or snubbing operations
• Valid Well Control certification (IWCF Level 2 or equivalent) for coiled tubing operations
• H2S Alive, First Aid, and offshore survival (BOSIET/HUET) certificates current
• Technical diploma in mechanical, petroleum, or industrial maintenance engineering
• Proven ability to read P&IDs, hydraulic schematics, and wellbore schematics
• Physical fitness for 12-hour shifts, heavy lifting, and extreme desert climate conditions
• Fluency in Arabic or French; English technical terminology proficiency required
