Accountant (remote)

Nexus Analytica is an energy advisory, engineering, and technology company working across power systems, renewable energy, energy storage, electric mobility, digitalization, and energy-sector transformation. We are looking for a detail-oriented, results-driven Accountant (remote) to join our finance team and support accurate financial operations while working remotely.

Accountant (remote) Job Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare financial statements, monthly management reports, and budget variance analyses in accordance with accounting standards.
• Process invoices, expense reports, and payments accurately and within established deadlines.
• Maintain complete and organized financial records for audits and internal reviews.
• Support tax preparation, VAT filing, and compliance with local financial regulations.
• Assist in cash flow forecasting, cost control, and financial planning for energy projects.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate recording of project costs and revenues.
• Use accounting software and ERP systems to streamline financial processes and reporting.

Required Qualifications

• Proven work experience as an accountant, staff accountant, or finance officer.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software, Excel, and financial management tools.
• Excellent numerical accuracy, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight reporting deadlines.
• Self-motivated and organized, with the ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in the energy, engineering, or consulting sectors.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and automated accounting platforms.
• Knowledge of international financial reporting standards (IFRS) and local tax laws.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
