The Cairo Night Auditor Who Balances Precision with Poise
Who We're Looking For
You are the financial sentinel who thrives when the city sleeps. As a Night Auditor, you don't just reconcile numbers — you protect the integrity of the day's revenue, ensure every transaction tells the truth, and hand over a flawless financial picture to the morning team. You understand that accuracy isn't optional; it's the foundation of trust. You're drawn to the quiet focus of the night shift, where your attention to detail becomes a competitive advantage.
What You'll Own
- Execute the complete night audit cycle: posting room charges, processing payments, balancing revenue centers, and verifying city ledger accounts
- Reconcile daily revenue reports against property management system data, identifying and resolving variances before dawn
- Prepare and distribute morning financial packages — including trial balance, revenue summary, and exception reports — to Finance & Procurement leadership
- Audit front desk cash banks, credit card batches, and point-of-sale settlements for compliance and accuracy
- Coordinate with Security and Engineering on night-time operational issues that carry financial implications
- Maintain audit trails and documentation standards that withstand internal and external scrutiny
What You Bring
- Proven experience in night audit or hotel accounting, preferably within a full-service property
- Fluency in property management systems (Opera, Fidelio, or equivalent) and advanced Excel for reconciliation work
- Solid grasp of hospitality revenue streams: rooms, F&B, banquet, spa, and ancillary income
- Discipline to work autonomously through the night with zero supervision, delivering error-free results on deadline
- Analytical mindset that spots patterns others miss — duplicate postings, missing folios, rate discrepancies
- Professional composure when handling late-arrival guests, billing disputes, or system outages at 3 AM
What Sets This Role Apart
This is a permanent, full-time position embedded in the Finance & Procurement department of a Cairo-based operation — not a front-desk hybrid. You report through finance leadership, giving you a clear path into hotel controllership, revenue audit, or corporate finance. The night shift isn't a placeholder here; it's a specialized financial function with ownership, visibility, and respect. You'll close the day's books so the business can open tomorrow with confidence.
