Cost Accountant | Manufacturing Cost Accounting

Role Summary

We are seeking a skilled Cost Accountant to join a leading manufacturing facility in Cairo. This full-time position involves analyzing production costs, preparing cost reports, and supporting financial decision-making for factory operations. The ideal candidate will have expertise in cost accounting principles, inventory valuation, and variance analysis within a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Calculate and analyze production costs including direct materials, labor, and overhead
• Prepare monthly cost reports and variance analyses for management review
• Maintain and update standard cost systems and bill of materials (BOM)
• Conduct inventory valuation and reconciliation for raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods
• Monitor and report on manufacturing efficiency metrics and cost reduction opportunities
• Collaborate with production and procurement teams to ensure accurate cost data
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes for factory operations
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal control procedures

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Professional certification (CMA, CPA, or equivalent) preferred
• Minimum 3 years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing setting
• Strong knowledge of cost accounting standards and inventory management
• Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and advanced Excel skills
• Fluent in Arabic and English
