Sample Courier Representative – Medical Lab Logistics in Egypt

About the Job: A leading medical institution specializing in laboratory analysis is seeking a dedicated Sample Courier Representative (also known as Specimen Transporter or Medical Samples Driver) to join its logistics team in Egypt. This full-time role focuses on the safe, timely, and compliant transport of biological samples between collection points and the central lab, ensuring specimen integrity and adherence to cold chain protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collect and transport medical samples (blood, urine, swabs) from clinics, hospitals, and patient homes to the main laboratory.
• Maintain strict chain of custody documentation for every shipment.
• Follow standard operating procedures for handling, packaging, and temperature control of specimens.
• Inspect and sanitize transport containers and vehicle to meet biomedical waste and infection control standards.
• Coordinate with dispatch and lab staff to optimize pickup/delivery routes and schedules.
• Report any delays, accidents, or sample integrity issues immediately to the logistics supervisor.
• Ensure vehicle is fueled, clean, and equipped with necessary supplies (coolers, labels, forms).

Requirements:

• Valid Egyptian driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Previous experience in medical courier, sample transport, or pharmaceutical logistics preferred.
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology and laboratory sample handling.
• High attention to detail and ability to follow written procedures precisely.
• Excellent time management and route planning skills.
• Physical ability to lift and carry sample boxes (up to 15 kg).
• Willingness to work flexible hours including occasional weekends.
