Physical Education Teacher
Role Overview
We are seeking an exceptional Physical Education Teacher to join our dynamic educational team. Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement age-appropriate physical education curricula aligned with national and international standards
- Plan and deliver daily lessons covering fundamental movement skills, sports techniques, fitness concepts, and health education
- Assess student progress through formative and summative evaluations, maintaining accurate records of physical development and skill acquisition
- Organize and supervise intramural sports, athletic events, and school-wide fitness initiatives
- Adapt instruction for diverse learners, including students with varying abilities and special needs
- Maintain a safe, well-organized gymnasium and outdoor facilities; ensure all equipment meets safety standards
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to integrate cross-curricular connections (science, math, social-emotional learning)
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress, achievements, and areas for growth
- Stay current with best practices in physical education pedagogy, child development, and sports science
- Serve as a role model for healthy, active living and positive sportsmanship
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Education, Kinesiology, Sports Science, or related field
- Valid teaching certification/license in Physical Education
- Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in a school setting (preferred)
- Strong knowledge of motor development, exercise physiology, and age-appropriate athletic activities
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
- Excellent classroom management and student engagement skills
- Proficiency in differentiating instruction for diverse learning needs
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities for collaboration with staff, students, and families
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Physical Education or Educational Leadership
- Coaching certification in one or more sports
- Experience with adaptive physical education programs
- Background in health education, nutrition, or wellness programming
- Familiarity with technology integration in PE (fitness trackers, assessment apps, video analysis)
- Multilingual abilities (Arabic/English) advantageous
Work Environment
This full-time position is based in a supportive school community in Egypt. The role involves both indoor gymnasium and outdoor field instruction, with standard school hours and occasional evening/weekend commitments for athletic events.
