Electrical Engineer - Egis Egypt | Transport & Energy Projects

Egis, a leading global consulting and construction engineering firm, seeks an Electrical Engineer to join its dynamic team in Egypt. Key Responsibilities

• Design and review electrical systems for transport infrastructure including railways, metros, and highways
• Develop power distribution schemes, lighting layouts, and earthing systems for energy projects
• Perform load calculations, short-circuit analysis, and protection coordination studies using ETAP or similar software
• Prepare technical specifications, single-line diagrams, and cable schedules for tender documentation
• Coordinate with civil, mechanical, and control systems engineers to ensure integrated design solutions
• Conduct site inspections and supervise electrical installation works during construction phases
• Ensure compliance with IEC, NEC, and Egyptian electrical codes across all deliverables
• Support project managers in cost estimation, schedule tracking, and client presentations

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university
• Minimum 5 years experience in consultancy or contractor firms on infrastructure projects
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, ETAP, Dialux, and MS Office suite
• Strong knowledge of medium and low voltage power systems design
• Experience with railway signaling, traction power, or substation design preferred
• Fluent in English; Arabic proficiency required for local coordination
• Valid Egyptian Syndicate of Engineers membership
