Job Overview

Siemens Energy S.A.E. is seeking a highly skilled Hydraulic Specialist to join the Gas Services organization within the Service Middle East business unit. This full-time position is based in Cairo, Egypt, and plays a critical role in maintaining and optimizing hydraulic systems for gas turbine services and related energy infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair hydraulic systems and components on gas turbines and associated equipment.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on hydraulic power units, actuators, valves, and piping systems.
Interpret hydraulic schematics, technical drawings, and manufacturer manuals to ensure accurate system analysis.
Collaborate with field service engineers and project teams to support installation, commissioning, and overhaul activities.
Conduct hydraulic system testing, flushing, and contamination control procedures in accordance with industry standards.
Provide technical guidance and training to junior technicians on hydraulic system operation and maintenance best practices.
Document all maintenance activities, findings, and recommendations in compliance with Siemens Energy quality and safety protocols.
Support root cause analysis for hydraulic system failures and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Proven experience as a Hydraulic Specialist, Hydraulic Technician, or similar role in the power generation, oil & gas, or heavy industrial sector.
In-depth knowledge of hydraulic principles, components (pumps, motors, cylinders, valves, accumulators), and circuit design.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting hydraulic schematics, P&IDs, and ISO symbols.
Hands-on experience with hydraulic system troubleshooting, pressure testing, and contamination analysis.
Familiarity with gas turbine hydraulic control systems (e.g., fuel, lubrication, and control oil systems) is a strong advantage.
Strong understanding of safety standards (ISO 4413, OSHA) and quality management systems (ISO 9001).
Excellent problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Effective communication skills in English; Arabic language proficiency is a plus for local coordination.
