Head of Business Growth & Strategic Initiatives, Amazon Now, MENA

About the Role

Amazon Now is reinventing how Egypt shops for everyday essentials, delivering products in minutes. As the business scales, Amazon is launching and scaling new initiatives and building the operational engine that powers them. The Head of Business Growth & Strategic Initiatives, MENA will lead high-impact growth projects, define strategic priorities, and drive execution across the Amazon Now organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the business growth roadmap for Amazon Now across MENA, with a strong focus on the Egyptian market.
• Identify new business opportunities and strategic initiatives that accelerate customer adoption and operational scale.
• Own cross-functional planning, working closely with operations, category, marketing, finance, and technology teams to launch new services and expand coverage.
• Analyze market trends, customer insights, and competitive dynamics to shape long-term strategy.
• Build business cases for new initiatives and drive end-to-end implementation from pilot to full-scale rollout.
• Track performance metrics, define KPIs, and report progress to senior leadership.
• Partner with local and regional stakeholders to ensure alignment with Amazon's overall growth objectives.

Qualifications & Experience

• Proven experience in business growth, strategy, business development, or general management roles, ideally within e-commerce, retail, quick commerce, or fast-moving consumer goods.
• Strong track record of leading strategic initiatives and launching new businesses or products in complex environments.
• Deep understanding of the MENA market, especially Egypt, including customer behavior, logistics, and digital commerce trends.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into clear strategic recommendations.
• Outstanding stakeholder management and communication skills, with experience influencing senior leaders.
• Entrepreneurial mindset and comfort operating in ambiguous, fast-paced environments.
• Experience with P&L management, unit economics, and growth metrics is preferred.
