Operations Executive OTR, Amazon Now - Egypt

Role Overview

Amazon Ultra Fast Grocery (UFG) is seeking a dynamic Operations Executive OTR to join our newly formed organization in Egypt. This role sits at the heart of Amazon's innovative Amazon Now initiative, designing and launching new business models across the AMET region. As an Operations Executive, you will drive operational excellence for our ultra-fast grocery delivery network, ensuring seamless execution from order placement to doorstep delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of On-Time Delivery (OTR) metrics for Amazon Now grocery fulfillment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including supply chain, logistics, and technology to optimize delivery speed and accuracy.
• Analyze operational data to identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements for ultra-fast grocery operations.
• Manage relationships with delivery partners and internal stakeholders to ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met.
• Lead root cause analysis for operational failures and drive corrective actions.
• Support the launch of new business models and expansion initiatives across Egypt.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as order lead time, defect rates, and customer satisfaction.
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for grocery fulfillment centers.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in operations management, logistics, or e-commerce fulfillment.
• Proven track record of improving operational metrics in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in SQL, Excel, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, QuickSight).
• Experience with last-mile delivery operations and route optimization.
• Fluent in English and Arabic (written and verbal).

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Amazon's operational methodologies (e.g., Working Backwards, Six Sigma, Kaizen).
• Background in grocery retail or quick-commerce (q-commerce) sector.
• Project management certification (PMP, Scrum Master) a plus.
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and transportation management systems (TMS).
• Ability to thrive in ambiguous, rapidly changing environments typical of new business launches.
