Operations Executive - Amazon Ultra Fast Grocery (UFG) | Egypt

About the Role

Amazon Ultra Fast Grocery (UFG) is seeking a dynamic Operations Executive to join a newly formed organization focused on designing and launching innovative business models across AMET (Africa, Middle East, and Turkey). This role is pivotal in driving operational excellence for Amazon Now, Egypt's rapidly expanding ultra-fast grocery delivery service. You will be at the forefront of shaping the future of e-commerce logistics, ensuring seamless last-mile operations and exceptional customer experiences.

Core Responsibilities

• Operational Management: Oversee day-to-day UFG operations, including inventory management, order fulfillment, and delivery coordination to meet stringent service-level agreements.
• Process Optimization: Identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and scale operations across multiple sites.
• Data Analysis: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as delivery speed, accuracy, and customer satisfaction; use data-driven insights to drive continuous improvement.
• Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor operational staff, fostering a culture of safety, productivity, and accountability.
• Vendor & Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with internal teams (supply chain, tech, marketing) and external partners to align operational goals with business objectives.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure all operations adhere to Amazon's high standards for safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in operations, logistics, or retail management, preferably in a fast-paced e-commerce or grocery environment.
• Proven ability to analyze data and make strategic decisions using tools like Excel or SQL.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills in English and Arabic.
• Demonstrated leadership experience with a track record of driving team performance.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Amazon's fulfillment systems or similar warehouse management software.
• Knowledge of lean methodologies or Six Sigma principles.
• Familiarity with the Egyptian market and last-mile delivery challenges.
• Project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2) is a plus.
