SRH Internship - Arab States Regional Office | Egypt

The SRH Internship at the Arab States Regional Office (ASRO) in Egypt offers hands-on experience in sexual and reproductive health programming under the direct supervision of the Regional Sexual and Reproductive Health Specialist. This role operates within the UNFPA regional framework, collaborating closely with the SRH Adviser to support technical delivery across Arab States. The position provides exposure to regional policy dialogue, program monitoring, and knowledge management in a multicultural environment.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist the Regional SRH Specialist in coordinating sexual reproductive health initiatives across country offices
• Support preparation of technical briefs, concept notes, and donor reports for SRHR programs
• Contribute to monitoring and evaluation of maternal health and family planning interventions
• Conduct desk research on adolescent sexual health trends and gender-based violence prevention strategies
• Facilitate knowledge sharing through documentation of best practices and lessons learned
• Provide administrative and logistical support for regional workshops and technical consultations
• Collaborate with the SRH Adviser on data analysis for program performance tracking

Requirements & Qualifications

• Enrolled in or recently graduated from a Master's program in Public Health, Medicine, Gender Studies, or related field
• Demonstrated academic focus on sexual reproductive health rights, maternal health, or population dynamics
• Strong analytical writing skills with ability to synthesize technical information for diverse audiences
• Proficiency in English; Arabic language proficiency is a strong asset
• Familiarity with UN system operations or international development organizations preferred
• Competence in data visualization tools and statistical software (Excel, SPSS, or R)
