Security Officer

Role Overview

We are seeking a vigilant and professional Security Officer to join a prestigious hotel within the Accor network, a global hospitality leader encompassing more than 45 brands, 5,500 hotels, and 10,000 restaurants and lifestyle destinations worldwide. In this critical role, you will safeguard guests, employees, and property while upholding the highest standards of safety and service excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and patrol hotel premises, including public areas, back-of-house, and perimeter, to prevent and detect signs of intrusion, fire, or safety hazards.
• Operate and maintain security systems such as CCTV, access control, alarm panels, and communication equipment.
• Respond promptly and effectively to emergencies, incidents, and guest requests, coordinating with local authorities and emergency services when necessary.
• Conduct thorough investigations of security incidents, prepare detailed reports, and maintain accurate logs of all activities and observations.
• Enforce hotel security policies, procedures, and regulatory compliance, including fire safety, health and safety, and data protection standards.
• Provide courteous assistance to guests and staff, including escort services, lost and found management, and traffic control.
• Participate in regular security drills, training sessions, and briefings to maintain readiness and awareness of evolving threats.
• Collaborate with other departments to support a safe and welcoming environment aligned with Accor's brand values.

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Security Officer, preferably in a hotel, hospitality, or high-end commercial environment.
• Valid security license or certification as required by local regulations.
• Strong knowledge of security operations, surveillance techniques, and emergency response protocols.
• Excellent observational, communication, and interpersonal skills with a customer-service mindset.
• Ability to remain calm and decisive under pressure, with sound judgment and problem-solving abilities.
• Physical fitness to perform patrols, stand for extended periods, and respond to physical incidents.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English; additional languages are an asset.
• Flexibility to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications

• First Aid, CPR, and Fire Safety certifications.
• Experience with integrated security management software and IP-based surveillance systems.
• Background in law enforcement, military, or professional security services.
• Familiarity with Accor or international hotel chain standards and procedures.
