QA/QC Engineers and Inspectors - Oil and Gas - Mechanical/Civil/Electrical/Instrumentation
Role Overview
We are seeking experienced QA/QC Engineers and Inspectors for Oil & Gas projects across Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, and Instrumentation disciplines. This is an opportunity to join a leading organization in the energy sector and contribute to high-stakes quality assurance and control operations.
Core Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain Quality Assurance and Quality Control procedures in compliance with industry standards (ISO 9001, API, ASME, etc.) and project specifications.
- Conduct inspections of materials, equipment, and workmanship to ensure adherence to engineering drawings, codes, and contract requirements.
- Review and approve Quality Control plans, inspection test plans (ITPs), and related documentation.
- Monitor and report on quality performance, identify non-conformances, and lead corrective and preventive actions.
- Coordinate with project teams, subcontractors, and clients to resolve quality issues and ensure timely delivery of deliverables.
- Participate in audits (internal/external) and ensure compliance with HSE regulations and company policies.
- Prepare detailed inspection reports, certificates, and quality records for handover.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or Instrumentation Engineering (or equivalent).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in QA/QC roles within Oil & Gas, petrochemical, or heavy industrial projects.
- Certified as CSWIP 3.1, AWS CWI, NDT Level II (UT/RT/MT/PT), or equivalent relevant certification.
- Sound knowledge of international codes and standards (ASME, API, ASTM, ISO, etc.).
- Proven experience in inspection of piping, vessels, structural steel, electrical/instrumentation systems.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in quality management software and MS Office.
Preferred Skills
- Lead Auditor certification (ISO 9001).
- Experience with risk-based inspection (RBI) and reliability-centered maintenance (RCM).
- Familiarity with project lifecycle from design through commissioning.
- Multilingual abilities (English/Arabic) are an advantage.
