Technical Account Manager (Data Centre Operations)

Role Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and technically skilled Technical Account Manager specializing in Data Centre Operations to join our team in Kuwait. This hybrid role bridges the gap between technical execution and client success, serving as a technically proficient single point of contact for mission-critical data centre environments. Unlike traditional relationship managers, you will bring deep operational expertise to ensure seamless service delivery, infrastructure reliability, and client satisfaction across complex data centre ecosystems.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical liaison between clients and internal operations teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment on data centre service expectations
• Oversee day-to-day data centre operations including power management, cooling systems, physical infrastructure monitoring, and incident response coordination
• Develop and maintain comprehensive account plans that address client technical requirements, service level agreements (SLAs), and operational KPIs
• Conduct regular site audits and infrastructure assessments to identify risks, optimize performance, and recommend improvements
• Coordinate with engineering and facilities teams to manage capacity planning, equipment lifecycle management, and technology refresh cycles
• Lead incident management processes, including root cause analysis, escalation management, and post-incident reporting for data centre outages or service disruptions
• Prepare and deliver detailed technical reports, performance dashboards, and executive summaries for key stakeholders
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across data centre operations, focusing on uptime optimization, energy efficiency, and cost reduction
• Manage vendor and third-party contractor relationships to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and quality standards
• Support business development efforts by identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing accounts

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in data centre operations, infrastructure management, or a closely related technical field
• Proven experience in a client-facing technical account management or technical project management role
• Strong understanding of data centre infrastructure including UPS systems, generators, HVAC/cooling, fire suppression, and physical security
• Familiarity with industry standards and best practices such as Uptime Institute Tier Standards, TIA-942, and ISO 27001
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues under pressure
• Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders
• Proficiency in data centre infrastructure management (DCIM) tools and monitoring platforms

Preferred Skills

• Professional certifications such as CDCP (Certified Data Centre Professional), ITIL, PMP, or equivalent
• Experience managing multi-tenant or colocation data centre environments
• Knowledge of cloud infrastructure and hybrid cloud architectures as they relate to data centre operations
• Experience with disaster recovery planning and business continuity management
• Familiarity with environmental sustainability practices and energy efficiency optimization in data centres
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Arabic is highly desirable
