Recreation Manager – Hotels & Hospitality | Morocco

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Recreation Manager to join our hospitality team in Morocco. This role is ideal for a passionate leisure and wellness professional who thrives in creating memorable guest experiences within the hotel and health club industry. As a Recreation Manager — also known as a Leisure Coordinator, Activities Director, or Wellness Program Manager — you will lead all recreational programming, ensuring every guest interaction reflects exceptional hospitality and service excellence.

About the Role

As the Recreation Manager at our hotel property in Morocco, you will oversee the full spectrum of recreational and leisure operations. This includes managing fitness facilities, organizing guest activities, coordinating wellness programs, and supervising recreation staff. Your mission is to brighten every guest's day through thoughtfully curated experiences that blend local Moroccan culture with world-class hospitality standards. You will serve as the driving force behind our leisure department, ensuring safety, engagement, and satisfaction across all recreation touchpoints.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, and execute a comprehensive calendar of recreational activities and events for hotel guests of all ages
• Manage and supervise recreation staff, including lifeguards, fitness instructors, and activity coordinators, ensuring proper training and performance standards
• Oversee the daily operations of health club facilities, fitness centers, swimming pools, and recreational areas
• Monitor and maintain all recreation equipment, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and hygiene protocols
• Collaborate with the hospitality and guest relations teams to design personalized leisure experiences that enhance overall guest satisfaction
• Develop and manage the recreation department budget, tracking expenses and optimizing resource allocation
• Evaluate guest feedback and industry trends to continuously improve programming and introduce innovative wellness offerings
• Ensure all recreational activities comply with local regulations, safety standards, and company policies

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Recreation Management, Sports Science, or a related field
• Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in recreation management, leisure coordination, or a similar role within the hospitality industry
• Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced hotel environment
• Proficiency in both French and English is highly desirable; Arabic is a plus
• Knowledge of health and safety standards related to pools, fitness facilities, and recreational activities
• Guest-focused mindset with outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
