Storekeeper

Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Storekeeper to join our hotel supply chain and procurement team. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the seamless flow of inventory, supplies, and materials essential to daily hotel operations. The successful candidate will maintain accurate stock records, manage receiving and issuance procedures, and support the broader hospitality supply chain function.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming deliveries against purchase orders and delivery notes
• Organize and maintain the storeroom layout for optimal space utilization and easy access
• Issue materials and supplies to departments following established requisition procedures
• Conduct regular cycle counts and participate in periodic physical inventory audits
• Monitor stock levels and initiate reorder requests to prevent shortages or overstocking
• Maintain accurate digital records in the inventory management system
• Ensure compliance with hotel procurement policies, safety standards, and hygiene regulations
• Coordinate with procurement, finance, and operational departments to resolve discrepancies
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports for management review
• Manage proper storage conditions for perishable and non-perishable goods

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational certification in storekeeping or supply chain a plus
• Proven experience as a storekeeper, warehouse assistant, or inventory clerk — preferably in hospitality or hotel environment
• Proficiency in inventory management software and MS Office (especially Excel)
• Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to lift moderate weights and stand for extended periods
• Good communication skills in English and/or French; Arabic fluency required
• Knowledge of hotel operating supplies, linens, amenities, and F&B inventory categories

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Opera, Micros, or similar hospitality platforms)
• Familiarity with HACCP and food safety storage standards
• Previous work in 4- or 5-star hotel properties
• Basic understanding of procurement workflows and vendor coordination

Work Environment

This role is based in a dynamic hotel setting where operational excellence directly impacts guest satisfaction. The storekeeper collaborates closely with procurement, housekeeping, food & beverage, engineering, and front office teams to ensure timely availability of all operational materials.
