About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Gouvernante Générale to join our hospitality team in Safi, Morocco. This key role involves overseeing housekeeping operations and ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction. As a leader in the hospitality sector, you will play a crucial part in maintaining the reputation and operational excellence of our establishment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise the daily activities of the housekeeping department, including room attendants, public area cleaners, and laundry staff.
• Develop and implement cleaning schedules and procedures to ensure efficiency and adherence to quality standards.
• Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas to ensure they meet established cleanliness and maintenance standards.
• Manage inventory of cleaning supplies, linens, and guest amenities, and place orders as needed.
• Train and motivate housekeeping staff, providing ongoing feedback and performance evaluations.
• Handle guest complaints and special requests related to housekeeping services promptly and professionally.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as Front Office and Maintenance, to ensure a seamless guest experience.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Head Housekeeper, Executive Housekeeper, or similar role in the hospitality industry.
• Strong knowledge of housekeeping operations, cleaning techniques, and safety protocols.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
• Proficiency in relevant software is a plus.
• Fluency in French and Arabic is required; English is an advantage.
