About the Role
The Treasury and Insurance Manager is responsible for overseeing the organization's treasury operations and insurance portfolio. This role ensures optimal cash flow management, mitigates financial risk, and maintains comprehensive insurance coverage aligned with corporate objectives. The position reports within the Finance Department and plays a critical role in safeguarding the company's financial assets and liquidity.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily treasury operations including cash positioning, liquidity planning, and bank relationship management
- Develop and implement treasury policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance and operational efficiency
- Oversee the organization's insurance programs, including property, liability, marine, and employee coverage
- Negotiate insurance terms, premiums, and renewals with brokers and underwriters to secure optimal coverage at competitive rates
- Assess and mitigate financial risks through hedging strategies, foreign exchange management, and investment of surplus funds
- Prepare cash flow forecasts, treasury reports, and variance analyses for senior management and stakeholders
- Coordinate with internal departments and external financial institutions to facilitate payments, credit facilities, and banking operations
- Evaluate and recommend insurance claims, ensuring timely settlement and proper documentation
- Monitor regulatory changes and industry best practices in treasury management and insurance
- Lead and mentor treasury and insurance team members, fostering professional development and performance excellence
- Support audit processes by providing accurate treasury and insurance documentation
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Banking, or a related field (MBA or professional certification such as CTP, CII, or CFA is highly preferred)
- Minimum of 7–10 years of progressive experience in treasury management and/or insurance operations, preferably within a corporate or multinational environment
- Strong knowledge of treasury management systems (TMS), banking platforms, and financial modeling tools
- In-depth understanding of insurance products, underwriting principles, claims management, and risk assessment frameworks
- Proficiency in cash flow forecasting, working capital management, and debt financing strategies
- Excellent negotiation and relationship management skills with banks, insurers, and financial service providers
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail and accuracy
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting software
- Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in Arabic is an advantage
- Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines
