QA Functional Tester | Banking & Finance Software Testing

Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented QA Functional Tester to join our team in Amman. This role combines business and technical skills, with a strong emphasis on understanding the banking and finance domain. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of software applications through rigorous functional testing.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive functional testing on software applications within the banking and finance sector.
• Design, develop, and execute detailed test cases and test scripts based on business requirements and technical specifications.
• Identify, document, and track software defects and inconsistencies through structured bug reporting processes.
• Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, and project managers to ensure alignment on quality standards and project deliverables.
• Conduct regression testing to verify that previously identified issues have been resolved and that new changes do not introduce defects.
• Validate that all software outputs meet defined business rules, compliance requirements, and user expectations.
• Participate in requirement review sessions to provide early input on testability and potential risk areas.
• Maintain thorough test documentation, including test plans, test data, and testing summary reports.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in software testing, specifically in functional testing methodologies.
• Solid understanding of the banking and finance domain is an essential requirement for this role.
• Familiarity with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
• Experience working with test management tools and defect tracking systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration across technical and business teams.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
