Grade 2 Homeroom Teacher – Differentiated Learning & Inquiry-Based Instruction
About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Grade 2 Homeroom Teacher to join a dynamic international school in Qatar. Core Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, inquiry-based lessons aligned with the school’s curriculum and international standards.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the varied learning needs, abilities, and interests of Grade 2 students.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that promotes respect for diverse cultures.
- Assess student progress through formative and summative assessments, providing timely feedback to students and parents.
- Collaborate with grade-level teams, specialists, and support staff to ensure holistic student development.
- Integrate technology and hands-on activities to enhance learning experiences.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding student achievements, challenges, and classroom activities.
- Participate in professional development, school events, and curriculum planning sessions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, Early Childhood Education, or a related field.
- Valid teaching certification or license appropriate for primary grades.
- Minimum 2 years of full-time teaching experience, preferably at the primary level.
- Demonstrated experience in differentiated learning and student inquiry instruction.
- International teaching experience or a strong commitment to multicultural education.
- Excellent command of English (both written and spoken).
Preferred Skills
- Experience with International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme (PYP) or similar inquiry-based frameworks.
- Familiarity with modern assessment tools and data-driven instruction.
- Strong classroom management skills and a positive, student-centered approach.
- Ability to integrate cross-curricular themes and 21st-century skills into lessons.
- Knowledge of second language acquisition and ESL strategies.
