About the Role
We are seeking a vigilant and certified Lifeguard to join our team in the vibrant hospitality and services sector in Doha. As a key member of our safety and recreation staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the well-being of all patrons in and around our aquatic facilities. This role requires a proactive approach to water safety and excellent observational skills to prevent accidents and respond effectively to emergencies.
Responsibilities of a Pool Safety Officer
- Monitor pool areas to prevent accidents and enforce safety rules.
- Perform water rescues and administer first aid and CPR when necessary.
- Inspect aquatic facilities regularly for hazards and report any issues.
- Educate patrons on safe swimming practices and facility regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the pool deck and surrounding areas.
- Respond to emergencies promptly and efficiently.
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of pool equipment for events or activities.
Qualifications for a Water Safety Attendant
- Current Lifeguarding certification (e.g., Red Cross, YMCA).
- Current CPR/AED and First Aid certifications.
- Proven experience as a lifeguard or in a similar role.
- Strong swimming skills and physical fitness.
- Excellent observational and communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm and act decisively in emergency situations.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
