Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor the airport’s Safety Management System (SMS) to meet ICAO and local regulatory standards.
• Conduct regular risk assessments and safety audits across terminals, runways, and support facilities.
• Lead incident investigation teams, produce root‑cause analyses, and recommend corrective actions.
• Coordinate with air traffic control, airline operators, and ground handling crews to ensure seamless safety communication.
• Prepare and deliver safety briefings, training sessions, and emergency response drills for staff.
• Maintain up‑to‑date safety documentation, reports, and compliance records for internal and external audits.
• Monitor emerging safety trends and advise senior management on proactive mitigation strategies.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Safety, Aeronautical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in aviation safety, security, or risk management, preferably within a major international airport.
• Strong knowledge of ICAO Annex 19, local civil aviation regulations, and industry best practices.
• Proven ability to conduct thorough incident investigations and produce clear, actionable reports.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; Arabic is a plus.
