Senior Operations Manager – Freight & Logistics (Riyadh)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Senior Operations Manager to lead our critical logistics and freight forwarding operations based in Riyadh. This pivotal role is responsible for the seamless and efficient execution of our supply chain activities, directly impacting our market leadership and client satisfaction within the dynamic transportation industry. As a key leader, you will orchestrate complex logistical processes, champion operational excellence, and drive strategic growth initiatives. Key Responsibilities

• Direct the daily operations of trucking and freight forwarding, ensuring punctuality, safety compliance, and optimal utilization of logistics tracking software.
• Formulate and enact operational strategies, policies, and procedures to boost efficiency, mitigate expenses, and elevate service standards, actively seeking team input.
• Track and evaluate critical performance metrics (KPIs) to pinpoint enhancement opportunities and deploy targeted improvement strategies.
• Manage fleet maintenance schedules and driver performance, ensuring compliance with all transportation regulations and promoting a safety-first environment.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including sales, customer service, and finance, to ensure integrated and effective supply chain management.
• Oversee inventory management and warehouse operations, optimizing space utilization and minimizing stock discrepancies.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with carriers, suppliers, and key stakeholders to ensure reliable service delivery.

Qualifications & Requirements

• A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in operations management, specifically within the trucking and freight forwarding sectors.
• Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale logistics operations and optimizing supply chain performance.
• Strong understanding of logistics software, fleet management systems, and transportation regulations.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and manage diverse teams.
• Proficiency in data analysis and performance metric tracking to drive informed decision-making.
• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Experience in Riyadh or the Saudi Arabian logistics market is highly advantageous.
