Key Responsibilities of a Civil Construction Manager

• Oversee the approval process for shop drawings, method statements, and material approvals before project commencement.
• Facilitate seamless coordination between contractors, suppliers, and internal project teams.
• Ensure a safe working environment by diligently monitoring labor safety practices on site.
• Manage daily site operations, including the effective supervision and monitoring of all site labor.
• Provide daily progress reports to project teams, highlighting key updates and any assigned actions.
• Conduct daily coordination meetings with the Site Foreman to ensure all technical details align with project specifications.
• Regularly monitor the construction site to identify and resolve any arising technical difficulties promptly.
• Manage financial aspects of the project, including timely submission of measurements to ensure payment schedules are met.
• Follow up on payment certificates to ensure smooth financial flow.
• Prepare comprehensive weekly progress reports detailing project status and milestones.
• Accurately estimate the required materials and labor needed for job completion.
• Supervise all on-site work in strict accordance with the contract agreement.
• Undertake other duties as assigned by management from time to time.

Requirements for a Civil Project Lead

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Senior Civil Engineer or in a similar leadership role.
• High level of computer literacy, including proficiency in Windows, Word, Outlook, and Excel.
• Demonstrated ability to successfully interact and collaborate with a multi-cultural workforce at all levels.
• Outstanding communication skills in both English and Arabic.
• Capacity to utilize initiative and adopt a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
