About the Role

Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) is seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Universal Banker to join our team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. This pivotal role blends essential helpdesk functions with customer relationship officer duties, contributing significantly to the overall success of our ADIB Branch. We are looking for an individual passionate about delivering exceptional customer service, adept at identifying and fulfilling customer needs, and driven to achieve branch objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver prompt, efficient, and courteous service to all customers visiting the branch.
• Address customer inquiries, concerns, and issues with effectiveness and efficiency.
• Proactively identify customer needs and offer relevant ADIB products and services, including Liability Onboarding and Covered Card solutions.
• Manage a range of customer service requests such as Debit Card inquiries, account general inquiries, and certificate/e-statement issuance.
• Handle returned cheque services, including receiving, delivering, and forwarding to the Credit Control Unit (CCU).
• Process debit card and chequebook services, including receiving, delivering, and destruction.
• Execute specific financial transactions like Funds Transfer/Telex Transfer and Installment Postponement.
• Engage in nominal Assets Sales activities as required, with targets and incentives to be discussed separately.

Qualifications and Requirements

• In-depth knowledge of ADIB’s Retail & Institutional Banking products and services.
• Familiarity with ADIB’s Operational Policies & Procedures.
• Understanding of UAE banking practices, regulations, and associated risks.
• Comprehensive knowledge of all Central Bank of UAE regulations.
• A fair grasp of service standards and cross-selling techniques.
• Proficiency in computer skills.
