About the Role

Cuple is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Footwear Buyer to join our dynamic Buying / Merchandising department. This pivotal role, based in the vibrant emirate of Ras Al Khaimah, UAE, involves the strategic selection, procurement, and management of fashion footwear that perfectly embodies our brand’s identity and drives our sales objectives. As a Senior Buyer, you will be instrumental in analyzing emerging trends, expertly negotiating with a global network of suppliers, meticulously monitoring inventory, and ensuring our product assortments not only meet but exceed customer demands, all while achieving ambitious profit and margin targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, select, and purchase fashion footwear merchandise, identifying key fashion trends, customer preferences, and seasonal demands to ensure a relevant and profitable assortment.
• Collaborate closely with design and merchandising teams to conceptualize and develop innovative new footwear collections and product ranges.
• Maintain an optimal product mix across both physical stores and online platforms to maximize sales and profitability.
• Source, evaluate, and negotiate with footwear suppliers and manufacturers to secure the best quality, competitive pricing, and favorable delivery terms.
• Build and nurture strong, lasting relationships with existing vendors while actively seeking out and developing new sourcing opportunities.
• Oversee the entire order placement process, including diligent follow-ups and ensuring the punctual delivery of all merchandise.
• Conduct thorough analysis of product performance, sales reports, and real-time stock levels across all stores and online channels.
• Analyze sell-through rates, profit margins, and stock aging reports to inform strategic reordering or markdown decisions.

Requirements

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in a Senior Buyer role, specifically within fashion footwear.
• Proven track record in trend analysis, forecasting, and strategic merchandise planning.
• Exceptional negotiation skills with a demonstrated ability to secure favorable terms with suppliers.
• Strong understanding of inventory management principles and techniques.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
• Proficiency in relevant buying and merchandising software and tools.
• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
