DevOps Engineer | Cloud Infrastructure & Automation

Role Summary

Siemens Digital Industries Software seeks a skilled DevOps Engineer to drive cloud infrastructure automation, continuous integration, and deployment pipelines for industry-leading design and simulation solutions. This role supports the development of software used in Formula 1, aerospace, automotive, and heavy machinery sectors, requiring expertise in scalable, secure, and resilient cloud-native architectures.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps
• Automate provisioning and configuration of cloud infrastructure on AWS, Azure, or GCP using Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation
• Manage container orchestration platforms including Kubernetes, Docker Swarm, or OpenShift
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting with Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or Datadog
• Collaborate with development teams to optimize build processes, artifact management, and release strategies
• Enforce security best practices: secrets management, vulnerability scanning, compliance auditing
• Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code (IaC) repositories with version control and peer review
• Troubleshoot production incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive automation

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field
• 3+ years of hands-on experience as a DevOps Engineer or Site Reliability Engineer
• Proven track record designing and operating production-grade Kubernetes clusters
• Deep expertise with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, GCP) and associated services
• Strong scripting proficiency in Python, Bash, Go, or PowerShell
• Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet) and IaC (Terraform, Pulumi)
• Solid understanding of networking concepts: DNS, load balancing, VPN, VPC, service mesh
