Laundry Manager Job in Cairo – Sofitel Cairo Downtown Nile (Accor Hotel)

About the Role

Sofitel Cairo Downtown Nile, part of the Accor network, is seeking an experienced Laundry Manager to lead and oversee the daily laundry operations of a prestigious 5-star hotel in Cairo. This role is essential to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, fabric care, and guest satisfaction across all hotel linens, uniforms, and guest garments.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all laundry operations including washing, drying, ironing, folding, and proper storage of hotel textiles and guest items.
• Supervise, train, and schedule laundry staff to ensure efficient workflow and high productivity.
• Ensure all laundry equipment is properly operated, maintained, and serviced to minimize downtime and repair costs.
• Maintain strict quality control standards for stain removal, fabric care, and finishing of all items.
• Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies, detergents, and linen stock, and place orders as needed.
• Coordinate with housekeeping and front office departments to meet daily linen and uniform requirements.
• Implement and enforce health, safety, and hygiene regulations within the laundry department.
• Control costs by managing water, energy, and chemical usage while maintaining service quality.
• Handle guest laundry requests promptly and resolve any complaints related to laundry services.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Laundry Manager or Laundry Supervisor in a hotel, preferably within a 5-star property.
• Strong knowledge of industrial laundry equipment, cleaning chemicals, and fabric care techniques.
• Leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate a multicultural workforce.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle peak operational periods.
• Good communication skills in English; Arabic is an advantage.
• High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in hospitality management is preferred.

Preferred Skills

• Previous experience working with Accor or other international hotel brands.
• Familiarity with hotel linen management systems and inventory software.
• Knowledge of eco-friendly laundry practices and cost-saving initiatives.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining luxury hotel standards.
