About the Role
Rixos Premium Seagate, a luxury all-inclusive resort situated on the pristine shores of the Red Sea in Sharm El Sheikh, South Sinai, seeks a professional Hotel Receptionist to join its front office team. This position serves as the primary point of contact for guests arriving at a premium international resort, requiring polished communication skills, multilingual capability, and the ability to deliver exceptional guest experiences in a fast-paced, multicultural hospitality environment. The role operates within a 24/7 front desk operation supporting check-in, check-out, guest inquiries, concierge coordination, and seamless collaboration with housekeeping, bell staff, and food & beverage departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage guest check-in and check-out procedures efficiently using property management systems (Opera, Fidelio, or equivalent), ensuring accuracy in room assignments, rate verification, and payment processing.
- Handle individual and group reservations, modifications, cancellations, and special requests with attention to detail and adherence to hotel policies.
- Respond promptly to guest inquiries via phone, email, and in-person regarding room amenities, hotel facilities, local attractions, transportation, and excursion bookings.
- Coordinate with concierge, bell staff, housekeeping, and engineering to fulfill guest requests including early check-in, late check-out, room changes, amenities delivery, and maintenance issues.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all-inclusive package inclusions, dining venues, spa services, kids club activities, and entertainment schedules to provide accurate information.
- Process cash, credit card, and foreign currency transactions; manage guest folios, post charges, and reconcile daily reports.
- Resolve guest complaints and escalate complex issues to Front Office Manager or Guest Relations Manager with professionalism and empathy.
- Assist with VIP arrivals, pre-registration, and personalized welcome amenities in coordination with Guest Relations.
- Maintain front desk area cleanliness, organization, and presentation standards at all times.
- Participate in daily briefings, shift handovers, and ongoing training sessions to maintain service excellence.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Hotel Receptionist, Front Desk Agent, or Guest Service Agent in a 4- or 5-star hotel or luxury resort environment (minimum 2 years preferred).
- Proficiency in English (written and spoken) is mandatory; Arabic fluency required; additional languages (Russian, German, French, Italian, Polish) are a strong advantage for the Sharm El Sheikh market.
- Hands-on experience with Property Management Systems (Opera Cloud, Fidelio, IDS, or similar).
- Strong computer literacy including MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and email management.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a guest-first mindset and cultural sensitivity.
- Ability to work rotating shifts including mornings, evenings, nights, weekends, and public holidays.
- Professional appearance and grooming standards aligned with luxury hotel brand guidelines.
- High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality/tourism diploma or degree is a plus.
- Knowledge of Sharm El Sheikh attractions, Red Sea excursions, and local transportation options.
- Egyptian nationality or valid work permit for Egypt.
Preferred Skills
- Previous experience in all-inclusive resort operations.
- Familiarity with Rixos Hotels or similar international luxury hotel brands.
- Certification in hospitality management or front office operations.
- Experience handling group bookings, weddings, conferences, and MICE events.
- Knowledge of revenue management principles and upselling techniques.
Work Environment
This role is based on-site at Rixos Premium Seagate, Sharm El Sheikh, South Sinai, Egypt. The resort features a private beach, multiple swimming pools, diverse dining outlets, a luxury spa, kids club, and extensive meeting facilities. The front office team operates in a dynamic, high-volume environment serving an international clientele. Accommodation and meals may be provided per company policy.
