Communication Intern for Qatar

Role Overview

GGGI Qatar program is seeking talented and motivated individuals to provide support in the program's communication efforts. This opportunity is ideal for those passionate about sustainability, climate action, and international development. As a Communication Intern, you will contribute to enhancing the visibility and impact of GGGI's initiatives in Qatar.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in drafting and editing communication materials such as press releases, newsletters, and social media content.
• Support the planning and execution of events, workshops, and public awareness campaigns.
• Help maintain and update the program's website and digital platforms.
• Conduct research on communication trends and best practices in the region.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to ensure consistent messaging.
• Monitor media coverage and prepare reports on communication outcomes.

Required Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a bachelor's or master's program in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Familiarity with social media management tools and content creation.
• Ability to work in a multicultural environment and collaborate effectively.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with graphic design software (e.g., Canva, Adobe Suite).
• Knowledge of Arabic language is an asset.
• Previous internship or volunteer experience in communications or international organizations.
• Understanding of environmental and sustainability issues.
