Key Responsibilities: PICU Nurse Duties

• Deliver direct, specialized nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients within the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU).
• Continuously monitor and assess patients’ vital signs, neurological status, and overall condition, promptly reporting any significant changes.
• Operate and meticulously manage advanced life-support equipment, including ventilators, cardiac monitors, and infusion pumps.
• Administer prescribed medications, intravenous therapies, and treatments as directed by physicians.
• Collaborate with and assist physicians during critical procedures and emergency interventions.
• Develop and implement comprehensive, individualized patient care plans in close collaboration with the multidisciplinary medical team.
• Maintain precise and timely documentation of patient care, treatment strategies, and ongoing progress.
• Strictly adhere to infection control policies, safety protocols, and all relevant healthcare regulations.
• Offer vital emotional support and clear guidance to patients’ families and their caregivers.
• Actively participate in quality improvement initiatives and engage in continuous professional development opportunities.

Requirements: Qualifications for PICU Role

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) or an equivalent recognized qualification is essential.
• A minimum of 2 years of recent, relevant experience as a PICU Nurse or in Pediatric Critical Care within a hospital setting is required.
• Possession of a valid nursing license from your home country.
• Eligibility for a nursing license in Dubai (DHA eligibility, current license, or a clear willingness and ability to obtain one) is necessary.
• Demonstrated strong knowledge of pediatric critical care procedures and the operation of specialized equipment.
• Exceptional clinical assessment, interpersonal communication, and effective teamwork skills.
• Proven ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
