Envision Employment Solutions is seeking a VLSI Functional Safety Hardware Architect to join a leading IT Services and IT Consulting partner in Cairo, Egypt. This strategic role focuses on defining safety architectures for complex semiconductor designs, ensuring compliance with ISO 26262 and IEC 61508 standards across automotive and industrial applications. The position demands deep expertise in hardware safety mechanisms, fault injection verification, and safety lifecycle management from concept through production release.

• Define and implement functional safety architectures for SoC and IP designs targeting ASIL-D compliance
• Develop safety concepts including FMEDA, FTA, and DFA analyses for critical hardware modules
• Collaborate with RTL design and verification teams to integrate safety mechanisms such as ECC, lockstep, and watchdog timers
• Lead safety verification planning including fault injection campaigns and coverage closure for safety goals
• Prepare and review safety documentation: Safety Plan, Safety Case, and Technical Safety Requirements
• Coordinate with external assessors for ISO 26262 certification audits and tool qualification activities
• Mentor junior engineers on safety-aware design practices and verification methodologies
• Evaluate emerging safety standards (ISO 21448, ISO 21434) for impact on hardware architecture roadmaps

الشروط والمتطلبات

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field with 8+ years VLSI experience
• Proven track record as Functional Safety Architect or Safety Manager on automotive-grade silicon projects
• Expert knowledge of ISO 26262 Parts 5, 8, 10, 11 and IEC 61508 hardware safety lifecycle
• Hands-on experience with safety analysis tools: Medini Analyze, IQ-FMEDA, or equivalent FMEDA automation
• Strong RTL coding skills (SystemVerilog/VHDL) and familiarity with UVM-based verification environments
• Experience with fault simulation, formal verification, and hardware/software interface safety analysis
• Functional Safety Engineer certification (TÜV Rheinland, exida, or SGS) highly preferred
