About the Role

Al-Futtaim Group, established in the 1930s as a trading business and today one of the most diversified and progressive privately held regional businesses headquartered in the UAE, is seeking a Sr. Service Supervisor Applied HVAC System to join the OMASCO Retail division in Oman. This is a senior-level technical leadership position focused on overseeing applied HVAC system services within the retail sector. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring operational excellence, team management, and the delivery of high-quality HVAC solutions across retail facilities in the region.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily HVAC service operations across retail locations in Oman, ensuring all systems function efficiently and meet performance standards.
• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of HVAC technicians, providing technical guidance, training, and performance evaluations to maintain a high-performing workforce.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for applied HVAC systems, including chillers, air handling units, ductwork, and refrigeration equipment used in retail environments.
• Conduct regular site inspections to assess HVAC system performance, identify potential issues, and recommend corrective actions to minimize downtime and operational disruptions.
• Collaborate with retail facility managers and cross-functional teams to plan and execute HVAC installations, upgrades, and retrofit projects within budget and timeline constraints.
• Ensure strict compliance with local safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies across all HVAC service activities.
• Prepare detailed technical reports, service documentation, and performance analytics for senior management review.
• Liaise with equipment suppliers and external contractors to source parts, negotiate service agreements, and maintain strong vendor relationships.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Minimum of 8–10 years of hands-on experience in HVAC systems, with at least 3–4 years in a supervisory or team lead role within retail, commercial, or industrial settings.
• Strong technical knowledge of applied HVAC systems including chillers, VRF systems, rooftop units, air handling units, and refrigeration systems.
• Proven ability to lead and manage technical teams, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Familiarity with HVAC design principles, load calculations, and energy efficiency optimization strategies.
• Experience with preventive and corrective maintenance programs, as well as project coordination for HVAC installations and upgrades.
• Knowledge of local and international safety standards and building codes relevant to HVAC operations.
• Relevant technical diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC Technology, or a closely related field is preferred.
