AC Technician

Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced AC Technician to join our engineering and facilities team in Muscat, Oman. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining HVAC systems, air quality control equipment, and refrigeration units across residential, commercial, and industrial settings.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC, air conditioning, ventilation, and refrigeration systems
• Conduct daily inspections and routine preventive maintenance on all climate control equipment
• Install, service, and commission new AC units, split systems, central air conditioning, and chillers
• Monitor and maintain air quality control systems to ensure optimal indoor air standards
• Perform electrical and mechanical fault diagnosis on compressors, condensers, evaporators, and thermostats
• Maintain accurate service records, maintenance logs, and equipment documentation
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and manufacturer guidelines
• Respond promptly to emergency repair requests and breakdown calls
• Collaborate with the engineering and facilities team to optimize energy efficiency and system performance
• Advise on equipment upgrades, replacements, and cost-effective maintenance solutions

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Proven experience as an AC Technician, HVAC Technician, or Refrigeration Technician
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems including split units, package units, VRF systems, and central plant equipment
• Proficiency in diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults in air conditioning and refrigeration systems
• Familiarity with air quality control standards and ventilation systems
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and quality standards
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Good communication skills and professional customer service attitude

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification or diploma in HVAC, Refrigeration, or Air Conditioning Technology
• Experience with commercial and industrial HVAC installations and maintenance
• Knowledge of energy-efficient and environmentally friendly refrigerant handling practices
• Valid driver's license preferred
